Iridium Jazz Club

1650 Broadway at West.51st Street
212 – 582 2121//

The dizzying jazz dives that once lined 52nd Street are long gone - along with the many of the musical legends who played there. But there is Iridium; a sub-level Times Square venue that packs them in. Iridium works hard  to recreate the glory days of yesteryear. True jazz lovers flock to hear hot sets by some of the best-known names in the business like: Jimmy Scott, guitarist Mike Stern, saxophonist Pharaoh Sanders, and Mingus Legacy bands, etc.The late Les Paul used to headline Monday nights. His legacy continues with a weekly tribute and Les Paul Mondays, featuring former backing band and special guests (some from the cross-over unit of cabaret/jazz.) Great sightlines and perfect acoustics make this Broadway jazz experience a must.
